CANNABINOID HHC – WHAT IS HHC?

You’ve probably heard of our well-known hemp-derived cannabinoid pals CBD, Delta 8 THC, and Delta 9 THC. But have you ever heard of the cannabinoid HHC Liter? This natural hemp plant compound is less common than Delta 8 THC but equally potent.

HHC is ideal for CBD enthusiasts looking to incorporate some natural potency into their wellness regimen. So, what is the deal with HHC, and why is it so popular? Continue reading to learn everything you need to know about this dynamic cannabinoid.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE HHC CANNABINOID?

Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a cannabinoid found in small amounts in hemp plants. Although HHC Liter is a naturally occurring compound, sufficient amounts to make products are difficult to obtain. However, by using safe and clean production processes, companies like Exhale Wellness can convert CBD into HHC Liter and create a wide range of products.

HHC is not a relatively new cannabinoid. In 1944, American chemist Roger Adams succeeded in synthesizing the elusive compound by converting Delta 9 THC, also known as “THC,” into HHC.

Adams synthesized HHC Liter molecules from a large amount of THC extracted from the cannabis plant marijuana. Although marijuana is still illegal on a federal level, HHC can be produced from legal hemp plants. A hemp plant is legal if it contains less than 0.3 percent Delta 9 THC. It’s important to note that HHC is not the same as THC, and the two have different chemical structures.

As a result, HHC has a number of distinct properties. It has a longer shelf life and is more heat and UV light resistant. HHC Liter can bind to your endocannabinoid system’s (ECS) CB1 and CB2 receptors, which are responsible for regulating several important homeostatic processes such as mood, appetite, and sleep.

How Is HHC Produced?

HHC production is a multi-step process. CBD is first extracted from hemp plants and distilled into an isolate. What happens next is determined by where you purchase your HHC products. To produce HHC, each company employs a unique process. Exhale Wellness, on the other hand, believes in transparency and is happy to share how we make it.

We use an isomerization process to convert hemp-derived CBD isolate into Delta 9 THC. After obtaining sufficient Delta 9 THC, we use a hydrogenation process to break the compound’s double bonds, yielding HHC.

This is similar to how Roger Adams first generated HHC back in 1944. (except he used marijuana, and we use hemp). Because THC and HHC have similar molecular structures, Adams converted THC to HHC using hydrogenation, a common food processing method. Companies, for example, use hydrogenation to transform vegetable oil into the margarine you have in your fridge!

Is HHC a legal substance?

HHC Liter is completely legal in the United States because it is a hemp-derived cannabinoid that complies with the Farm Bill. At the moment, no state laws make HHC illegal. This is not to say that your state does not have any restrictions on this hemp-derived cannabinoid.

CBD, the cannabinoid we use to create HHC, is illegal in some states. If you live in a state where CBD products are prohibited, it may be difficult to obtain HHC locally.

Based on other hemp-related laws, the following states could make it difficult to find HHC Liter in local stores:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • Colorado
  • Delaware
  • Idaho
  • Iowa
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • New York City
  • Providence, Rhode Island
  • Utah

In all other states, you should have no trouble locating HHC. Laws affecting the cannabis industry, on the other hand, can be unexpected. That is why it is critical that you always research HHC Liter product laws in your state before purchasing them. Fortunately, BonaVoluntate always has products available online!
